Privacy Policy
This policy covers both apps: ValueStack, a tracker for credit-card perks, and Ember: Endless Night, a game. They are built the same way and make the same commitments, so what differs is only what each one keeps on your device.
What we collect
Nothing. Specifically, neither app:
- requires or offers an account, login, or registration;
- collects personal information, identifiers, or usage analytics;
- uses third-party tracking, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs;
- accesses your contacts, location, camera, photos, or any other device data beyond its own local storage.
ValueStack — what it stores
ValueStack is a personal tracker for credit-card perks and statement credits. The cards you add, the credits and benefits you check off, and any referral links you paste are stored only in the app's local storage on your device. This information is never transmitted to us or to anyone else — the app makes no network requests of its own.
Note that ValueStack never asks for real card numbers or any financial account details — it only tracks card names and perk values that you enter.
The Discover tab's "Apply" buttons open card issuers' public websites (or a web search, or a referral link you yourself provided) in your browser. Those websites are operated by third parties and are governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.
Ember: Endless Night — what it stores
Ember keeps your high scores, the map and difficulty you last chose, and whether haptics are switched on. All of it lives in the app's local storage on your device and is never transmitted anywhere. The game itself makes no network requests at all.
Ember offers optional one-time purchases for additional maps. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We never see or receive your payment details, and what you have bought is recorded against your Apple Account by Apple rather than by us — which is why restoring a purchase on a new device works even though your scores do not carry over. Apple provides us only aggregate sales reports, which do not identify anyone.
Your data, your control
Because your data lives only on your device: deleting an app deletes all of its data, and each one can clear itself — ValueStack through "Reset all data" on its About screen, Ember through "Reset high scores" in Settings. There is no copy anywhere else, which also means we cannot recover your data for you, and it does not sync between devices or survive a reinstall.
Purchases are the one exception: because Apple holds them, Ember's "Restore purchases" brings back any maps you own on a new device or after a reinstall.
Children
Neither app is directed at children, and neither collects data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of either app ever changes how data is handled — for example, by adding optional sync — this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the change will be clearly described here.

ValueStack is a personal tracking tool. Perk values are user-editable estimates, not financial advice — verify current terms with your card issuer.
